Theses demons have there own “Layers”, and each demon has different sets of layers. When the demons find hosts’ to possess, each host creates a different Layer. For example: The Headless Axeman has six layers, the great warrior Xiang Yu, the Yellow Sorcerer Zhang Jiao, the White lotus cult Han, etc. Following the aftermath of World War 2, the Civil war raging in China came to a breaking point. When Chiang Kai-shek’s central government chose to fall back to Taiwan, there were certain relics that were secretly brought to Taiwan. These powerful relics were called the “Dragon-hide sutra” and were well hidden inside the mountains beneath the Taipei's National Palace Museum. After a brutal murder of the chief administrator of the Taipei's National Palace Museum, the “Dragon-hide sutra”, and what was secretly hidden in it were all stolen.
